CORA Group acquires Enterprise Loyalty Platform from Kognitiv and revives the Carlson Marketing Solutions brand

WARMINSTER, PA — CORA Group has announced the acquisition of Kognitiv’s Enterprise Loyalty Platform (ELP) to solidify its leadership position in the loyalty technology industry. The deal also revives the historic Carlson Marketing Solutions brand, a name that dates back to 1938 until it was acquired by AIMIA, Inc. and later by Kognitiv.

With this acquisition, CORA’s portfolio now includes robust loyalty program management solutions on a global scale. The ELP is capable of handling high volumes of complex transactions while enhancing personalization and targeted customer experiences. It serves over 50 million loyalty program members in 30 countries. Customers include multinational banks, retailers and travel providers who use the platform to increase customer lifetime value through a system that processes thousands of transactions per minute. Advanced data science techniques and customer marketing services are integral parts of the platform.

The transaction also includes the Air Miles Reward Program, the largest coalition loyalty program in the Middle East. This addition further strengthens CORA’s position in the international market.

As part of the acquisition, more than 100 Kognitiv employees will move to CORA, including from North America, APAC and EMEA. Denis Brosnan, currently portfolio manager at CORA, will assume the role of CEO during the transition period and ensure a smooth integration and sustainable leadership.

“We are very excited to welcome Carlson Marketing Solutions to the CORA family,” said Brosnan. “These solutions are a perfect fit with our goal of providing our clients with comprehensive loyalty management software solutions, coupled with key services to support key accounts. The hallmarks of the Constellation family, which include our ‘buy and hold forever’ business model and commitment to operational excellence as a software company, will bring strength, stability and innovation to the clients of these enterprise and service platforms, while providing career opportunities for our new employees. We are honored to be the stewards of the Carlson Marketing brand now and forever.”

Tim Sullivan, CEO of Kognitiv, echoed this sentiment: “We are delighted that ELP and Air Miles are joining forces with CORA, the owner of our long-time fulfillment partner RewardOps, and continuing our mutually beneficial partnership. This transaction will enable Kognitiv to deepen its focus on data activation technologies while ensuring our customers’ continued access to the Enterprise Loyalty Platform and RewardOps. We believe this partnership represents an important milestone in our journey and provides numerous opportunities for growth and innovation.”

This acquisition not only strengthens CORA’s capabilities, but also lays the foundation for future advancements in loyalty technology. By integrating advanced data science and customer marketing services, CORA aims to deliver value to both its clients and their customers, representing a significant step forward in the evolving landscape of loyalty programs.
