Iowa PBS offers free live coverage of the 2024 IGHSAU Girls State Softball Championships

JOHNSTON – As Iowa girls fight for their tickets to the state tournament, Iowa PBS is preparing for live coverage of the championship games.

The statewide network’s commitment to covering girls high school sports continues as teams from across the state take the field at the 2024 Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union State Softball Championships.

Coverage of each class title game will take place at Harlan Rogers Park in Fort Dodge on Thursday, July 25, beginning at 5 p.m. and Friday, July 26, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Each game will be broadcast live on statewide Iowa PBS and livestreamed on Facebook, X, YouTube and iowapbs.org.

Thursday, July 25

Class 5A | 5pm

Class 4A | 7:30 p.m.

Friday, July 26

Class 3A | 2:30 p.m.

Class 2A | 5 p.m.

Class 1A | 7:30 p.m.

Fans can also follow the action on Iowa PBS’s X, Facebook and Instagram accounts.

In addition to unprecedented coverage of the championships, Iowa PBS will feature Brad Wells and Aly Cappaert as commentators for games 5A and 4A. Paul Yeager and Laura Leonard will commentate games 3A, 2A and 1A.
