Three Alabama football players traveled to Birmingham on Tuesday to visit patients at Children’s Hospital.

“Thank you for having us yesterday,” Alabama offensive lineman Tyler Booker wrote in a post on X. “We are so glad we were able to be a blessing yesterday! We look forward to our next visit!”

Booker was accompanied by quarterback Jalen Milroe and fellow offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor, who spent time with the patients and took photos that Children’s posted on social media.

“A huge thank you to the Alabama football team for sharing their winning spirit with our patients today! It was an unforgettable day filled with smiles, laughter and inspiration,” Children’s wrote in a post on X.

July 11, 1956: Former Crimson Tide cheerleader Sela Ward was born in Meridian, Mississippi.

July 11, 1986: Athletic Director Ray Perkins announced that the football team’s new office building will officially open. Fans are invited to tour the building on July 14. The football team was originally scheduled to move into the 6,000-square-foot building in February, but construction delays delayed the move.
