Two University of Iowa athletes among recipients of Big Ten Conference postgraduate scholarships

University of Iowa football player Jeremiah Pittman and tennis player Vipasha Mehra will receive $7,500 postgraduate scholarships from the Big Ten Conference. The conference announced the winners Wednesday as part of an annual program that honors two student-athletes from each of its 14 member institutions.

This year’s award winners include 28 athletes from 15 sports who meet the requirements of maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.2, demonstrating role model and leadership qualities, and having the intention of pursuing an advanced degree program.
