Idris El Mizouni leaves Ipswich Town for Oxford United, ticket details for friendly against Fortuna Düsseldorf announced

Idris El Mizouni has left Ipswich Town and joined newly promoted Sky Bet Championship side Oxford United.

Reports, including from SuffolkNews media partners TWTclaim the fee is estimated at £400,000.

The 23-year-old midfielder has made 26 appearances for the Blues, but has spent five loan spells at Portman Road during his time at Town.

Most recently, El Mizouni spent the last two seasons on loan at League One side Leyton Orient, helping them win League Two and finish 11th in the third tier last season.

“I’m really excited to be joining the club. It’s a solid club that has made the step up to the Championship and it was very attractive to me,” El Mizouni, a former Cambridge United loanee, told Oxford’s club website.

“It’s a team that always enjoys playing football and I want to be a part of it and move up with the club.

“I want to prove myself as a player and show everyone that I can play at this level. More importantly, I want to help the club achieve its goals.”

Meanwhile, tickets for Town’s friendly match at home against Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday, July 27 (3 p.m.) go on sale on Friday.

Season ticket holders can purchase tickets starting Friday morning at 10:00 a.m. General sales will begin on Tuesday, July 16.

Tickets cost £20 for adults, £15 for over-65s and under-23s, and £10 for under-19s. A maximum of one ticket is available per person.

The friendly against the second division team will be played with 30 minutes of extra time and a penalty shootout, regardless of the score after 90 minutes.
