Iowa Park man wanted by WFPD arrested

**UPDATE** Wichita County Sheriff’s officials confirm Hennan was arrested today, July 10. Wichita Falls Police say this was based on a tip from Crime Stoppers.

WICHITA FALLS, Texas (KAUZ) – Wichita Falls Police are seeking information in the search for a wanted Iowa Park man.

39-year-old John Dewayne Hennan is wanted for theft between $2,500 and $30,000.

Authorities said Hennan has been arrested twice in the past six months on similar charges.

According to a previous arrest warrant, a victim hired John Hennan, the owner of Hennan Heat and Air, to work on the air conditioning system in his home. The victim stated that he paid John Hennan $3,000 for the work, but Hennan did not perform any of the work and cut off contact with him.

When officers spoke with Hennan, he told them he did not have enough money to repay the victim. The WFPD noted in the affidavit that Hennan did not attempt to contact the victim at any time, even after he was granted an extension to repay.

Wichita Falls Police said John Hennan knowingly and willingly accepted $3,000 and had no intention of repaying the victim for the work not performed.

If you have any information on John Hennan’s whereabouts, the WFPD asks that you call Crime Stoppers at 940-322-9888.
