The influx of commitments from the Class of 2025 continued Wednesday as the Florida Gators added a key player to their future roster. Four-star linebacker Myles Johnson (Brewton, AL) committed to Florida after previously committing to Alabama for nine months.

Johnson (6-foot-1, 220 pounds) withdrew that commitment last week and instead became the second defensive front-seven player to join the Gators’ class, ultimately choosing UF over Ole Miss and LSU. According to 247Sports, Johnson is the No. 25 unranked linebacker this cycle, despite being a three-star talent and ranked No. 491 nationally in the 247Sports Composite.

Florida now has nine commitments for the Class of 2025, but is ranked just 67th in 247Sports’ team rankings and ahead of only Vanderbilt in the SEC. Several top targets are likely to transfer to the Gators this summer, while others are waiting to see how they fare in the third year under Billy Napier before making their decision.
