Lamar Brown reduces recruiting, includes Tennessee football

Lamar Brown (Erwinville, Louisiana), a five-star offensive lineman for 2026, has narrowed his recruitment to 15 schools, including the Tennessee Volunteers.

Offensive Lineman at University Lab High School Lamar Brown is among the cream of the crop in the 2026 recruiting cycle. He is the fifth-best prospect in his class according to On3 Industry Rankings and has received 23 offers during his short time in high school.

The 6-foot-3, 250-pound Louisiana native is being courted by most major programs and has decided to end his recruitment early. On Monday, Brown narrowed his focus to 12 schools – Alabama, Florida State, Houston, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Tulane, UCF and USC will still compete for him.

The LSU Tigers have set the pace in his recruitment, as he has visited campus several times over the past few years. They have good inside information, but Tennessee and all the other programs on his list will fluctuate greatly over the next year and a half. The Vols were his 11th scholarship offer, and while he hasn’t made it to campus yet, they’ve already worked long hours to build a relationship with him.
