100 vendors take to the streets at Duluth’s annual Sidewalk Days – Duluth News Tribune

DULUTH – The Downtown Duluth organization’s annual Sidewalk Days Festival will be held Wednesday, July 10 through Friday, July 12.

Over 100 local merchants will set up booths along six blocks of Superior Street from First Avenue East to Fifth Avenue West. There will be shopping, food, live music, children’s activities and free entertainment for all ages.

The 2024 Downtown Duluth Sidewalk Days Festival will be held July 10-12 along Superior Street.

The event starts daily at 10 a.m. and lasts until Wednesday 8 p.m., Thursday 6 p.m. and Friday 3 p.m.

The Kolar Chevrolet Buick GMC Classic Car Show takes place on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and features eight blocks of classic cars and bands from Fifth Avenue West to Third Avenue East.

Participating bars and restaurants along the route will host a happy hour on Thursday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event concludes at 8 p.m. Friday with the Superior Street Dance, where the Dubh Linn Irish Brew Pub will feature live music by Lamont Cranston. At 9 p.m., the movie “Barbie” will be shown for free on a giant screen in Leif Erikson Park.

Other attractions include the Downtown Duluth YMCA’s 16th Annual Sidewalk Shuffle 5K, the Duluth Children’s Museum’s Imagination Playground, a bounce house and inflatable obstacle course, skating demonstrations by Damage Boardshop and the Harbor City Roller Derby, Sea Smoke Aerialists and balloon art by Lauralloons.

According to the Minnesota Department of Transportation, lane closures between Fifth Avenue West and 13th Avenue East are expected during the celebration for repaving.
