Who will represent the Alabama football team at the 2024 SEC Media Days?

Alabama football announced its players who will participate in SEC Media Days on Monday. The Crimson Tide will bring quarterback Jalen Milroe, offensive guard Tyler Booker and defensive back Malachi Moore.

Each school in the league will send three players to Media Days, which will be held in Dallas from July 15-18. This is the first year Texas and Oklahoma will be represented at the event. For Kalen DeBoer, it will be his Media Days debut as Alabama’s head coach after replacing Nick Saban.

Milroe, a native Texan, returns to his home state as the Tide’s starting quarterback for the 2024 season. He won the job after a long battle last season that Saban referenced during media days with a story about his grandmother’s cake-baking talent.

The quarterback threw for 2,834 yards and 23 touchdowns last season, earning Heisman Trophy votes. He also contributed on the ground, running for 531 yards and 12 more touchdowns.

Booker will look to solidify the Crimson Tide’s offensive line in his junior season. For his performance in 2023, he was named first-team All-SEC by the Associated Press and second-team by the league’s coaches.

Moore will be a key player in Alabama’s new defense, led by new coordinator Kane Wommack in 2024. He will play a traditional safety role rather than the “star” spot he held last season.

Like Milroe, he was one of the Crimson Tide’s permanent captains last season.

Press conferences and other media day content will air on the SEC Network throughout the week. Alabama will be in the spotlight on July 17 alongside Florida, Mississippi State and Texas.
