Who will take Alabama’s top spot as No. 1 wide receiver this season?

The University of Alabama football team’s fall camp begins on Wednesday, July 31, in Tuscaloosa, Alabama.

The athletes are scheduled to report to training camp on Tuesday, July 30, as Kalen DeBoer and his coaching staff look to produce a national champion with this team. In this series, which begins with the first practice, the Touchdown Alabama Magazine team will analyze the starting positions that are up for grabs.

We’ve looked at the right tackle, left tackle, cornerback, husky and tight end, but now we turn our attention to who could emerge as Alabama’s No. 1 wide receiver this upcoming season.

At the wide receiver position, the Alabama football team is in a unique situation.

Bernard Germiea transfer from Washington, had a very good spring game. In his first appearance in front of Tide fans at Bryant-Denny Stadium, he recorded three catches for 122 yards. Bernard collected 34 catches for 419 yards and two scores for the Huskies in 2023, en route to a Pac-12 championship and a spot in the College Football Playoff National Championship matchup.

It has the potential to be a primary weapon.

Jalen Halea sophomore, is recovering from a knee injury. We’ll see when he can return.

The talent is certainly there, but the coaching staff needs to figure out who will establish themselves as a regular player.

Expected Winner: Kobe Prentice
