Enjoy 2 days of super fun at the Napoleon Dynamite Festival in Idaho

Preston, Idaho (ABC4) — With Napoleon Dynamite celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, it’s a great time to revisit the film and celebrate its anniversary. If you’re looking for a fun way to do just that, an upcoming festival in Idaho has just what you need.

The two-day event takes place from July 26-27 and captures the nostalgia of the film with a costume contest, moonboots dance masterclass, potato eating contest and tetherball tournament. There’s also the chance to relive classic scenes from the film on a guided bus tour of the filming locations. When you’re done with all the day’s activities, don’t forget to capture your memories with a llama photo op.

Additionally, fans can develop “awesome skills” by learning to make their own lip balm, playing mindless games, and showing off their talent in a Liger drawing contest.

According to the Napoleon Fest website, the event will take place at “various cool locations” in Preston, Idaho. For more information on the activities you might want to participate in and ticket information, visit NapoleonFest.com.

Some activities, such as the toddler eating contest and the tour of Preston High School, are free, while others cost between $5 and $20.
