Obituary for Bruce Bruckelmeyer – IL

Bruce A. Bruckelmeyer, 63, of Oswego, IL, passed away suddenly on Friday, August 17, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 16, 1948 in Chicago, IL, to the late Kenneth B. and Muriel E., nee Schooff, Bruckelmeyer. Bruce was the founder and president of Midwest Technical Consultants (MTC), an Illinois-based land surveying firm, before retiring and selling the company in 2009. Prior to his professional career, he was the drummer in the Chicago-based bands Jesse, Midwest Hydraulic Company and Rock & Rye. Bruce is survived by his son, Daniel (Melissa) Bruckelmeyer of Wheaton, IL, a soon-to-be-born grandson, two sisters, Karen (Vince) Thomas of Naperville, IL, Debbie (Vince) Buckley of Charlotte, NC, and a nephew, Ken (Kimberly) Thomas of Frisco, TX. He is predeceased by his son Kyle Bruckelmeyer, sister Kathy Weaver, brother-in-law Earl Weaver, niece Lindsay Weaver and nephews Brian and Scott Weaver. Viewing will be Wednesday, August 22, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the DUNN FAMILY FUNERAL HOME with CREMATORY, 1801 South Douglas Rd., Oswego, IL. Funeral services will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pearce Cemetery in Oswego, IL.
