Idaho Falls hosts Pride Festival –

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho (KIFI) – The Idaho Falls community celebrated Pride Month this past weekend.

A Pride Festival took place in the Idaho Falls Greenbelt on Saturday.

The event included a parade, live music and numerous stalls that provided plenty of entertainment.

The focus of the event was to bring people together, create a welcoming space where everyone feels comfortable and provide all resources in one place.

“Idaho Falls is a really beautiful community, and the ability to celebrate Pride here in particular serves a population that may have been overlooked in the past,” said Idaho Falls Pride member Brianne Scott. “There are big cities around us, and they have a wonderful Pride event. And at the same time, Southeast Idaho may not get as much. We have the places in Teton Valley and Pocatello. But having it here in Idaho Falls just shows that there are people here, that there are queer people here. And we just want to hold the space for everyone.”
